Collaborative Divorce: Communication Neutral Role

Dr. Babinski has completed specialized training to aid couples seeking a more peaceful, less litigious, less costly, and a faster divorce process. Collaborative divorce is a service offered to couples by a professional team consisting of a communication neutral (often a mental health provider), a financial advisor, and a lawyer for each individual. The process is grounded in transparency and finding solutions both parties can agree to. If you are interested in the process please feel free to reach out for more information. The biggest benefit to collaborative divorce is keeping the decision making regarding assets, co-parenting issues, and parenting time in the hands of the people divorcing.

Individual Psychological Evaluations

An individual psychological evaluation can aid in clarifying a mental health diagnosis and provide robust treatment goals for individuals seeking a better understanding of their unique mental health needs. If you have a court order for a psychological evaluation please note that the completion of an evaluation is dependent on how quickly interviews, testing, and documentation review can be done. Often, this process can last between 3-6 weeks turn-around.

Evaluation Process:

  • Interviews/ Paperwork completion

  • Testing

  • Test Interpretation of Results

  • Final Appointment to Review Results

Court Ordered Therapy for Family Court

If you have been court ordered to attend therapy services Dr. Babinski requires a court appointment in order for services to begin. An initial 30 minute consultation with your legal counsel prior to your intake is necessary to ensure that the treatment goals set forth by the court are understood to ensure that services are meeting your unique needs. If the services are for a child, please be prepared to provide a current divorce decree or temporary orders indicating legal decision making for the child.

Records Review

Often, individuals who have completed psychological evaluations or other court ordered services may wish to have their records reviewed to provide further direction in their treatment needs.

Safe Haven Therapy

Within the family court system parents or judges may request therapy services to be sealed for the protection of the child’s safety. If you are seeking this service please specify when calling to schedule.
